About this installation…

Go Wallpaper are a north-west based home decoration specialist located in Little Lever. Previously based in Radcliffe, Complete Driveway Designs had undertaken work at the former premises installing a pattern imprinted concrete service yard. The specification for this premises differed, with the customer looking for a plain concrete delivery yard that could bear the weight of heavy wagons, along with a more visually appealing parking area for their customers and staff. The aim was to combine the practicality and simplicity of a brushed concrete roadway, alongside the decorative aesthetics of printed concrete.

This project is one that showcases the minimalistic beauty of plain tamped concrete, and proves that even a concrete yard with a brushed finish can deliver on both form and function. The inclusion of A393 reinforcement mesh and a concrete depth of 150mm meant that the delivery yard was ready to take the weight and rigorous use of HGV activity. The areas of pattern imprinted concrete placed throughout the car park offered the decorative element that the customer desired.
