All Saints Drive – Warrington
About this installation…
This project shows how a pattern imprinted concrete driveway can be extended or added to. The customer wanted to create more space on their existing driveway in order to accommodate more vehicles.
To accomplish this the border was taken away and the pattern was cut into to allow us to ‘key in’. Holes were drilled every 100mm and dowel bars were fitted into the existing driveway to ‘grip’ the new concrete. The extra area was excavated and stone was placed. Concrete was then poured, coloured and printed. The area was then left to cure, before we cleaned and trimmed. The new concrete was then sealed, and the existing concrete resealed so that the two matched as closely as possible. The front wall was shortened by 2.5 metres to create a larger entrance for vehicles, with the old pillar being taken down and rebuilt.
